Working on the paradigm of ICT for empowering rural population,SANCHAR started its activities by Organizing a Seminar on Development of Moffusil and Rural Areas" in march,2003 to highlight and discuss problems faced by the people living and working in Noida with special reference to the need for improvement of Connectivity and creation of public awarneness of road safety norms.

In the Context of promoting various development Programmes meant for women and weaker sections of the society in rural and moffusil towns governance & voluntaryship committed for human development is essential.Such a commmitted approach wll go a long way providing the needed inputs for development more than having effective public institutions & raising incomes for the targeted areas as well as people in order to consolidate the assets available & the benefits generated especially in the interior and remote areas,the development of communication infrastructure,networking of human and allied resources greater importance.

National level seminar on india vs.Bharat-Strategies to interconnect.

Envisaged to revolutionize rural telecom connectivity,SANCHAR organized a Seminar on "India versus Bharat-Strategies to interconnect".Various eminent Ministers of the Govt of India addressed the Seminar.

A Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) was signed between SANCHAR,Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd(BSNL) and Govt.of Uttaranchal in the presence of Shri N.D Tiwari Honourable Chief Minister of Uttranchal for setting up IT,Kiosks enabling villagers(especially people living in hilling areas) to access E-Governance application.

SANCHAR's commitment & efforts towards rural development were acknowledged and it was selected and authorized by the Directorate General(DGR) of Resettlement, Ministry of Defence, Govt of india to undertake training of Retiring Defence personnnel in :
Organic Farming
Information Technology SANCHAR has been conducting courses on Organic Farming and IT at its training Centres at Dehradun and Kathgodam,Uttarakhand.

Working on Organic farming at BeilParao,Ramnagar District,Nainital,Uttarankhand.

In another break through,the Ministry of Agriculture,Govt of India selected SANCHAR as as Service Provider for Organic Farming.SANCHAR undertook training of 2500 small and marginal farmers on behalf of Ministry of Agriculture.GOI,at villages around Bailparao,and Ramnagar area of District Nainital,Uttarakhand.Uttrakhand,A demonstration farm of +2 acres was set up for the purpose of training.In-farm demonstration of horticulture crops viz,fruits tress,pulses,oil seads,crops,vegetables and vermi composting was done.The farmers were registers with the UttarakhandOrganic Commodity Board.
