Shri SP Gulati with Samiti President Smt.Emarti Devi was present at the motivation training camp at Kishangarh BasTraining 3500 women farmers of Sakhi Samiti,village Kishangarh Bas,Dist Alwar,Rajasthan.The Training was carried out by a dozen motivators of the Samiti.Those motivators were trained by SANCHAR in organic farming & equipped with training charts/organic farming and handbooks.They then trained the other members of the Samiti.The project was funded by SANCHAR. |

Participation with IGL to keep Delhi pollution freeCommitted to minimize the threat to environment.SANCHAR has been working closely with Indraprastha GasLtd.(IGL) at multiple locations to mitigate climate change and keep delhi pollution free. |

PP Dhyani,Scientist F,GB Pant Institute at the launch of the projects.Organic farming for sustainable agriculture.This Organic Farming Project was launched at Pathariya village in Almora District on 3rd july 2009 by SANCHAR with the support of G.B.Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment & Development Kosi-Katarmal,Almora(Uttarakhand).This project was initiated to improve soil fertility & food production with organic farming for sustainable agriculture,food security,livelihood & increased income of farmers in rural India.Trainining of villagers on organic farming was organized on 21st March, 2010 at Parthriya,Manan,Someshwar District Almora Uttarakhand. As part of the initiative to improve the local community over 150 students of a local school at Someshwar participated in a Debate & Essay Competition on Environment.The event was sponsored by KVIC(Khadi and village Industries Commission)under the Peoples Education Program(PEP).More than 100 farmers,both men and women,participated in the training session. |

Community Approach to local Bio Mass Based Waste Utilization Project for Better LivelihoodsThis path breaking and innovative Project,funded by GEF SGP UNDP,is initiated to convert Pine Needles into hand made paper-at Village Kalet,District Almora,Uttarakhand-in order to provide sustainable solutions to the hazards of pine(PinusRoxburgii)needles/leaves by collecting and processing them into bio-products through community participation with ready market through institutional support.This project was initiated with the Objective of reducing threats to the global environment in areas of Bio-diversity,Climate Change,Land Degradation,gathering lessions & responsive ways of project implementation,community level experiences and initiate the process of sharing the successfull strategies & innovations and building partnerships and networks that support and strengthen community participation.District of Uttarakhand.State-of-the-art infrastructure including the building and machinery is in place with trial runs already complete and production Scheduled to start soon. |

Exchanging of MoU by Dr.J.C.Bhatt-Director,VPKAS & Shri.K.C. Pandey,SancharOn 26th July 2012,SANCHAR entered into a MOU with Vivekanand Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan(VPKAS).ICAR,Ministry of Agriculture,Govt of India,an Organization engaged in research for fulfill the needs of farmers in the North-western Himalayas with the mission of enhancing productivity and ecological sustainability.This MOU will facilitate SANCHAR in taking scientific interventions and research findings from the vast data bank of VPKAS directly to the farmers. |
